sin city...

yesterday was a quiet day. i tried to be productive so i practised. i also got off my ass and wrote caris a 1,500 word email - why is it that i can sit and type 1,500 words so easily when it's NOT an essay or assignment?? *shakes head*.

last night i went out to dinner at pancake parlour (i think i need to give that place a rest for a while. my pancakes were pretty gross last night) with adam, then agey joined us so we had a bit of a laugh. we then met up with den, quen, chen, jb, and the 3 simons (sime r didn't stay, he was just hanging in glenny *rolls eyes* typical!!) to see 'sin city'. ok i had no idea what to expect but all i can say is im not seeing it again!! it was so so so violent and gross, and so very evil!!!!! i can generally hack the thriller part of horror films (not saying that this was horror, but the amount of blood??) but it's the mindless violence and gore that i can't stand. thankfully it was mainly black and white, and the blood was sometimes white and yellow, but in that segment with marv...yuk! to make it worse, that freaky geeky cannibal with the white glasses and the long nails...it didn't click until afterward that he was elijah wood! i don't think i'll be able to see frodo baggins in the same light again. to give the directors credit (bloody quentin tarantino was one - are we surprised?) it was a very clever film!! the artistic imagery was fantastic but i wish they'd just reduce the amount of people getting cut up, and spitting blood, and put on the electric chair (i have always had this *thing* with electric chairs) etc etc.

so anyway, afterward we went to shine for ages and as we were leaving at around 1am, we were standing outside, and monica and lindy and some other chick (i think they said it was elise but im not sure) came down from the bar...pretty smashed haha! so yeh, jb dropped me home and i went to bed, trying not to think about elijah wood and his diet *shudder*

ahh, so hungry...i should go and have lunch. then i think i might walk to the glen and buy harry potter and the half-blood prince before they all sell out. hmm...
